ANOTHER First-like Imatator

Congratulations to Mike McIntyre an "Early Adopter" and of course "Special Kudo's" to Kyle Hughes the FIRST "Innovator in the Field" in Oakland County!

Robotics winners named at banquet: The Oakland County Competitive Robotics Association held its annual awards banquet last week, drawing more than 600 people to Oakland Schools in Waterford. Pontiac Central High School won the "Foundation Award," OCCRA's highest honor. It was the first time in the organization's seven-year history that a team won both the Foundation Award and the county championship. Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson spoke, congratulating the students on their successes and challenging them to work harder in the future. Three new members were inducted into the county's Robotics Hall of Fame: DaimlerChrysler was inducted because of their extensive technical and material support of the league. Cynthia Skelton from Orchard Lake St. Mary's Prep was inducted as Outstanding Educator and Cheryl Drukis from the School District of the City of Royal Oak was inducted as Outstanding Mentor. Named to the All-County MVP Team were Bradley Berger of Birmingham Seaholm, Jake Mohan of Brother Rice, Brian Parkinson of Catholic Central, Alicia Steele of North Farmington, Wade Kempton of Hazel Park, Edgar Sedano of Holly, Alexander Golec of the International Academy, Matt Savela of Lamphere, Andrew Woodcox of Notre Dame Prep, Lee Coe of OSTC Northeast, Justin Perry of OSTC Northwest, Michael Murrish of OSTC Southeast, Mike DiCiuccio of Orchard Lake St. Mary's, Josh Murphy of Pontiac Central, Katarina Flores of Pontiac Northern, Patrick Pannuto of Rochester Adams, James Mathias of Roeper Upper School, Brittany Voshol of Royal Oak, Joshua Gardiner of South Lyon, Jon Carter of Southfield, Jason Weihman of Troy, Bryce Liposky of Walled Lake Northern, Rob Holt of Waterford Kettering and Guy Hamburger of West Bloomfield.
