Tech educators to meet: The second annual Oakland County Business and Education Technical Regional Advisory Board meeting will be held Dec. 5. The event aims to help plan future career and technical education programs for local school districts and technical campuses. Speakers will include Oakland Schools superintendent Vickie Markavitch, Michigan Department of Education deputy superintendent Jeremy Hughes and Automation Alley executive director Ken Rogers. The session aims to design ways to prepare students for future careers in a global economy. The meeting will run from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at the Oakland Schools offices, 2111 Pontiac Lake Road in Waterford Township.
